Sonitor® IPS E-Tag (2006) is a wireless, battery operated device which is attached onto hospital equipment of personnel. When the tag is moving or at pre-defined intervals, the tag sends a unique identification number via ultrasound. The nearest Sonitor® IPS Detector will receive the signal, analyse it and send it on to a database on the central Sonitor server.
Sonitor® IPS E-Tag has two buttons which can be individually configured to send specific messages related to the object it is fastened on, such as “needs repair”,“need cleaning”, “need transport”, or “help”. The tag can be delivered with a dismantling sensor which triggers an alarm if the tag is removed.
