Are you our next design intern? The very first Interaction Design Intern, as the matter of fact. We’re looking for talented, dedicated and curious designers for an internship. We see this as a great opportunity for both young designers and us to learn and develop.
We urge anyone on the lookout for a place to work for a period of time during or right after their schooling to get in touch and to show us their work.
In the period of five to six months, you will be working as a full K8 team member! Buddying up with our seasoned and talented designers, collaborating and creating content in our current design projects. Our awesome clients have projects ranging from groundbreaking medical products to internal IT systems for the public sector – and if you have the correct mindset and portfolio, we want to invite you into our K8 family.
A person with relevant education and/or experience within interaction design. You have a user centric approach to design, have a strong team-spirit, strong communication skills and have some experience with a design process that involves research, mapping, ideation, concept development, low-fi prototyping and high-fi prototyping – and since we are a design consultancy we would prefer if your time-management skills are impeccable, but if not, do not worry, that muscle is one of the muscles you will excel at when finishing your internship here.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. You should be well versed in the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator) and Figma or Sketch. You must also be able to prototype with at least one of the following tools: Figma, Framer X, Invision, Adobe XD or similar. It’s a plus if you can code and/or do any sort of animation or motion design. (read: unicorns are a beautiful thing!)
We can offer
A unique opportunity for you to develop as a designer in a passionate and fast moving, but safe environment. Our previous interns have had incredible learning experiences being at K8, buddying up with super talented designers and getting the opportunities to work on real-life projects.
This is the first time we open up for interns joining in on this expansion – and therefore you can pave the path and make a huge impact! We hope this excites you, we are very excited to get to know you and have a talented mentor ready for you!
You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects throughout the design process – from creating user flows, wireframes, build user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage you will anticipate what our customers users need, argue for them and ensure that the final product is easy to use and delights them – from first-time users to sophisticated experts.
Maybe you like the idea of merging the physical and the virtual world in the oh, so interesting world of IOT? We have got you covered. That is one of the cool outcomes when you combine product designers with digital designers! We challenge you to find more ways to knit our fields of expertise together. Looking forward to play with you!
