NRK’s fundraising campaign: «A sea of possibilities»

This year’s NRK fundraising campaign – ‘’A sea of possibilities’’ focuses on collecting money for WWF’s work to combat plastic in the world’s oceans.

We are proud to support the theme of cleaning the world’s oceans through our collaboration with The Ocean Bottle – a Red Dot Design Award winning product.

8 million tonnes of plastic ends up in the oceans every year, damaging plant and animal life, as well as the livelihoods of those reliant on the ocean’s natural resources.

NRK’s fundraising campaign will focus on stopping plastic entering the ocean – starting where the problem is greatest: Southeast Asia. The money raised will help to establish an improve existing waste systems for more than 900,000 people.

The Ocean Bottle – designed by K8 industridesign – is proud to support the development of waste infrastructure in Southeast Asia and around the world through their partnership with Plastic Bank. With every bottle purchased, the equivalent of 1000 plastic bottles are collected on land, preventing plastic from entering the ocean whilst providing collectors with a stable income.

During this year’s NRK campaign (October 1st-18th) LessTrash, together with Ocean Bottle, will donate 100NOK for each Ocean Bottle sold on lesstrash.no
