Development of pelvic pain can occur in pregnancy women, causing discomfort in the pelvic joints and lower back. After conducting product research, the Oslo based chiropractor Bekken og Barn found there was little they could recommend to their clients, and thus came up with the idea of developing a pillow which could help ease the discomfort.

Together with K8, the bbhugme pillow was developed; providing not only a solution to easing pelvic pain, but a multifunctional product which could be used to provide comfort when sleeping, resting and support nursing.

The pillow can be stretched out, or tied together around the body. The silicone pebbles on either end of the cover allow the firmness of the pillow to be adjusted to suit the desired use. The pillow and it's accessories are certified by OEKO/TEX Standard 100 and EN71 safety standards, making it safe for the mother and new-born.

The design process and careful selection of materials of the pillow was recognised in 2015, winning -Best Design Award- from the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture.
