Welcome to K8!

Welcome to K8!

To strengthen our team, within UX and product innovation, we are happy to welcome Kristin Hærnes Ihlen, William L. Kempton, Tarjei Ødegård and August Denizou Lund.

Kristin is back to K8 industridesign. She was an intern in 2011 and is now returning as a senior industrial designer and project manager.
Kristin holds a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering from NTNU, Trondheim, sprinkled with business development, projects and exchanges in India, Argentina and USA. She has done projects ranging from porcelain enhancing the coffee experience to medical technology and packaging for fast moving consumer.
She is also a weekend warrior, climbing cliffs, ski kiting over mountain expanses, back country skiing and now she begun – skydiving.

William is an industrial designer from Oslo. He has a background as a designer researcher from the OsloSchool of Architecture and Design (AHO), where he earned his PhD in practice-based research. His research area has been on designing for Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), and specifically the use of making as a way to engage critically with emergent technology. In his spare time he loves to explore local trails with his mountain bike.

Tarjei is our UX / interaction designer. Tarjei has a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from NTNU in Gjøvik, a one-year programme in science and technology studies (STS) from NTNU in Trondheim, and a master’s degree with specialization in interaction design from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). During his time at AHO he has won the DOGA Award for Newcomers, Gold in Visuelt in the student category “digital design”, and first place in BEKK UX-cup. Throughout his education he has worked part time as a designer within the fields of graphic- and UX-design. He has worked with brands like Norkring, Universal music, Sosialistisk Venstreparti, LO, Signatu, NNUG, 7sense, bredvid, Norsis and Slettmeg. And yes, he is also smart on the soccer field.

August, from Oslo, is educated from AHO with an exchange year at Politecnico di Milano. He also worked for Layer in London and Kilo Design in Copenhagen inbetween his studies. Back in Oslo, passionate about everything that moves: cars, boats, trains, August completed the last year of his masters with a diploma on sustainable and experience driven high speed rail in Norway. The transportation of tomorrow.
